We have a lot of activities planned for this year! As things get planned,dates get finalised and venues get waterproofed they'll be put on this web site. To take part in some of our exciting events, look out for posters around campus describing when and where to get tickets and/or lifejackets. Importantly, bring your friends. Even engineers are very welcome! Email us if there is something happening in the Western Cape which you think will interest our members.

We plan film screenings, discussion groups, theatre expeditions, bad poetry evenings and, well, just lots of parties! With a literary bent , of course.

Also, don't miss out on the Writer's Group meetings which take place every second Wednesday at 19h30. The first meeting is on the 20th of February.

First term 2002:

· Wednesday 20th February. Write About Now ( yes, thats the name of the writer's group) starts in Rustic Café under the able and stimulating direction of Julia Smuts Louw. Meetings start at 19h30.Free wine and pizza, naturellement. Bring your writings or just come and listen and enjoy.

· Wednesday 13 March: A Midsummer Night's Dream (opening function) at the botanical gardens. Lots of sylvans for the neiads and dryads amongst ye. Come fall in love or just come and fall.

Second Term 2002:

· Write About Now (writers' group) meetings continue in Rustic

· Mediaeval Feast ( our flagship function !). Exact date and venue to be announced.

Third Term 2002:

Dates and events still to be finalised.

Fourth Term 2002 :

Dates and events still to be finalised.

· Hallowe'en Party.

First term 2001:

· Wednesday 22 March: Once Upon A Time (opening function) at Traumerei coffee shop

Second Term 2001:

· Wedenesday 9 May: Opening meeting for Write About Now at Rustic Cafe

· Friday 18 May: Medievil Feast at Oude Libertas

· Monday 28 May: Start of weekly film screenings in room 230 of the BJ (Lettere en Wysbegeerte)
